Black Powder

The Fraser Valley Frontiersmen Black Powder Rifle and Pistol Society

The Fraser Valley Frontiersmen Black Powder Rifle and Pistol Society is a Society established in 1973 and has been part of the Chilliwack Fish and Game Protective Association since that time. We host two Rendezvous a year: the Winter Rendezvous (February 17-19 2017) and the 44th Annual Buffalo Shoot (July 14-16 2017).  A Rendezvous is a gathering of people that dress in period clothing and use muzzle loading rifles, pistols, primitive bows etc.  You are more than welcome to come out to visit these events and even trade at the general stores set up in camp.

We have a club shoot on the third Sunday of the month and a meeting at 7:30 the last Monday of each month with the exception of August as most of us are at Rendezvous B.C. for 12 days.  A FVF schedule is available here, but please check the calendar to confirm dates.

We are quite active in the Chilliwack Fish and Game as well as other activities, for example Youth Camp, Fathers Day at Kilby and Yale Historical Site along with numerous Rendezvous hosted by other clubs throughout BC and further if you wish.

Please feel free to give us a call or come out and see what we do.  Our people are friendly and helpful and love to see newcomers.
