2020 TAC PISTOL MATCHES AT THE CHILLIWACK FISH AND GAME

TAC Pistol is a unique dynamic pistol discipline at CFGPA designed to test the skills of all competitors. Due to the advanced nature of this sport, safe firearms handling, problem solving and accuracy are emphasized over speed. All the stages are “ blind” with no walkthroughs. MATCH RULES

  1. COMPETITORS WILL REFRAIN FROM UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT
  2. RELOADS MUST BE DONE FROM COVER IF AVAILABLE, YOU MUST ACTIVELY BE ENGAGING TARGETS TO MAKE A MAGAZINE CHANGE WITHOUT COVER.
  3. VIEWING A cOF BEFORE SHOOTING IS NOT PERMITTED.
  4. TAKING A SIGHT PICTURE ON THE MAKE READY COMMAND WITH AND EMPTY GUN ONLY IS PERMITTED
  5. COMPETITORS MUST USE COVER THROUGHOUT THE COF, 100% LEGS MUST BE PRoTECTED BY COVER.if there is no cover, (surprise target) the shooter must engage the target as they become visible.
  6. SHOOTERS CANNOT RE-SHOOT A COF FOR MENTAL OR EQUIPMENT MALFUNCTIONS
  7. IN A SINGLE MATCH, A SHOOTER MUST USE THE SAME FIREARM IN ALL STAGES OF THE MATCH. IF THE FIREARM THEY STARTED WITH BECOMES UNSERVICEABLE, HE/she MAY USE ANOTHER, UPON APPROVAL OF THE RO.
  8. IF ANY PART OF THE SHOT HITS THE SCORING RING, IT WILL BE COUNTED AS A HIT.
  9. THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT TO START WITH A ROUND CHAMBERED.
  10. targets can be re-engaged after the required amount of shot is taken on it.

MAGAZINE RULES

  1. ONLY LEGAL CAPACITY  MAGAZINES ARE PERMITTED.
  2. stages will have a maximum of 35 round count

HOLSTER RULES

  1. ONLY STRONG SIDE OWB, IWB AIWB, THIGH HOLSTERS ARE PERMITTED.
  2. NO CROSS DRAW, SHOULDER, SMALL OF BACK OR ANKLE CARRY ARE ALLOWED
  3. AIWB HOLSTER START POSITION IS CHAMBER EMPTY, FIRST ROUND TO BE RACKED AFTER STARt SIGNAL AND WITH firearm POINTED DOWN RANGE.
  4. HOLSTERS MUST HOLD THE FIREARM SECURELY AND COVER THE TRIGGER GUARD.
  5. NO SERPA HOLSTERS OR SERPA TYPE HOLSTER ALLOWED.
  6. ANY HOLSTER NOT specifically LISTED MUST BE APPROVED BY THE MD PRIOR TO ITS USE IN ANY MATCH
  7. any belt system, chest rig, plate carrier or gear the shooter chooses is allowed, as long as it holds the holstered firearm and magazines securely

COURSE OF FIRE

    

  1. UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, A TOTAL OF 8 POINTS IS REQUIRED TO NEUTRALIZE A TARGET. if required amount of the point are not achieved, remaining points are added to shooters score.
  2. SHOOTER MUST ENGAGE CLOSEST VISIBLE TARGET UNLESS OTHERWISE STIPULATED
  3. WHITE TARGETS ARE “HOSTAGE OR NO SHOOTS”

SCORING

  1. SCORING SYSTEM IS AS FOLLOWS:

A-ZONE = 5 POINTS

C-ZONE = 3 POINTS

D-ZONE = 1 POINTS

  1. WHITE TARGETS ARE HOSTAGE/NO SHOOTS ARE 20 PENALTY POINTS PER HIT. SHOOTING THROUGH A TARGET AND HITTING A HOSTAGE TARGET COUNTS AS A PENALTY.
  2. PASSING A TARGET PAST 180 DEGREES(see safety rule #8) IS A FAILURE TO ENGAGE and is a 30-second penalty.
  3. BLACK ON TARGETS IS HARDCOVER. ANY SHOTS IN BLACK DO NOT COUNT
  4. 10 SECOND PENALTY PER INCIDENT OF NOT SHOOTING WHILE BEHIND COVER( UNLESS ENGAGING WHILE ON THE MOVE)doing baby steps or walking in place is not considered moving in this case
  5. 10 SECOND PENALTY PER INCIDENT FOR STANDING IN A WINDOW OR DOORWAY TO ENGAGE A TARGET.
  6. 10 SECOND PENALTY FOR BREAKING THE PLANE OF A WINDOW OR WALL WITH ANY PART OF THE GUN BARREL UNLESS IT iS REQUIRED TO ENGAGE A TARGET.
  7. 1 point equals 1 second of time added.
